Billy Baron is finalizing a contract extension deal with Crvena Zvezda in order to stay with the Serbian club for the second straight season according to Eurohoops sources.
Zvezda signed Baron in 2018. The American guard helped Red Star win the ABA League, and thus clinch a spot in the 2019-2020 EuroLeague, by averaging 11.6 points, 2.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 21:5 minutes over 30 games of the competition. In EuroCup, the 28-year-old player had 12.9 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.6 rebounds in 26:58 over 16 matches.
Baron has played in Europe for the entirety of his professional career so far. He’s expected to make his EuroLeague debut next season after four EuroCup campaigns with Lietuvos Rytas, Spirou Charleroi, UCAM Murcia, and Zvezda.
