Panathinaikos Athens is expected to sign Peristeri power forward Ben Bentil according to Eurohoops sources. Bentil’s contract with Peristeri includes a EuroLeague buyout clause, which will allow Panathinaikos to acquire the player.

Bentil, 24, spent 2018-2019 under new Panathinaikos head coach Argiris Pedoulakis. With Peristeri, the Ghanaian forward averaged 12.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 15.9 PIR over 35 games in the Greek League, en route to helping the team make the semifinals.

Pedoulakis wanted Bentil to follow him to Panathinaikos and the player will continue his career with the “Greens.”

With Panathinaikos, Bentil, a former 51st Draft pick by the Boston Celtics in 2016, will make his debut in EuroLeague.
