Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv announced on Tuesday that Jake Cohen inked a contract for the 2019-20 season. The 28-year-old big first signed with the Israeli club in 2013 and returned in 2017 for a second stint with a two-year deal. The 2019-20 season will be his fifth overall with Maccabi.
“I am excited to remain with Maccabi, especially after we won the Israeli League for the second straight year” he mentioned after his contract extension was made official and added: “I have many beautiful memories here and am excited to produce a few more next season.”
“I am very glad we re-signed Jake Cohen, he is a very important player for us” Ioannis Sfairopoulos said and went on: “Jake is a very experienced player and is ready for his fifth campaign with Maccabi. I know him from the his season and Greece, now I am his coach.”
Cohen marked his 2018-19 campaign with 2.8 points and 1.1 rebound per contest in 26 EuroLeague appearances. He also averaged 7.5 points per game in the Israeli Super League Regular Season and 11 points in the Playoffs.
