The Association of Greek Professional Players (PSAK) released an announcement criticizing the new allocating criteria that EuroLeague will implement from 2021-2022.

The Spanish ACB League, ULEB and the Spanish Players Association have also spoken against the new allocating criteria.

Per PSAK:

“The Greek Players Association expresses its opposition with EuroLeague regarding the new allocating system.

The commercial aspect is, as it seems, the priority for EuroLeague that decides without the protagonists of the sport and creates a system to which only the… employees of EuroLeague are agreeable with.

Once again it’s proven that no one cares for the player and healthy basketball in particular.

We don’t accept any games on the back of the players. We will send a letter and call all Player Unions in Europe to discuss our future.”
