Anton Ponkrashov returns to the city he was born and started his career. After playing for LenVo Saint Petersburg and Spartak Saint Petersburg, the 33 years old guard signed with Zenit St. Petersburg for next season and he will make his EuroLeague return.
Ponkrashov has also played for CSKA Moscow, for Khimki Moscow Region, for Krasnye Krylia, Krasny Oktyabr, Lokomotiv Kuban and since 2015 he was a member of UNICS Kazan.
He remains one of the most solid Russian guards and his experience will definitely help Zenit in its maiden EuroLeague season.
