Fenerbahce adds seven players for training camp

Without several international players, Fenerbahce Beko tipped off the preparation stage for the 2019-20 season.

Monday marks the first day of Fenerbahce Beko’s training camp ahead of the 2019-20 season. The Turkish side added Ivan Buva, Vladimir Stimac, Carl Engstrom, Milan Acimovic, Cukle Fedja, Burak Eslik and Oguz Savas to help in preparations for the upcoming campaign in the EuroLeague and domestic competitions. Youth team players youth team players David Sarper Mutaf, Saadettin Donat, Yigit Onan and Ismail Karabilen are also on hand.

Melih Mahmutoglu, Gigi Datome, Ahmet Duverioglu, Kostas Sloukas and Nando De Colo are all with their national teams preparing for the 2019 FIBA World Cup. The rest of the first team players are Bobby Dixon, Leo Westermann, Egehan Arna, Joffrey Lauvergne, Berkay Candan, Nikola Kalinic, Jan Vesely, Derrick Williams, Tarik Biberovic, Ergi Tirpanci and Ekrem Sancakli.

On September 13th, Fenerbahce will travel to Cluj to continue preparing for the 2019-20 season by participating in a four-team tournament with local side U-Banca Transilvania Cluj-Napoca, Partizan NIS and Mornar Bar. From Romania back to Istanbul and then Italy for friendly matches against Treviso on September 19th and Segafredo Virtus Bologna on September 20th. Before the official games, Fener will also participate in the “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” tournament with Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv, AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan and hosts Panathinaikos OPAP.
