Ricky Ledo scored 27 points as Anwil Włocławek beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 83 – 81 in a preseason game for the “Mez Polska Tournament” that the reigning Polish League champions hosts.
Nate Wolters dropped 15 points, Elijah Bryant 14 and Tyler Dorsey 12 for Maccabi. Chase Simon and Tony Wroten contributed 20 and 14 points respectively to Anwil’s victory.
“This is only our second game. This is our preseason period and we are all together two and a half weeks. It’s normal in this part of the season. Through these games, we build our game, our conditioning, our knowledge, offensively and defensively,” Maccabi coach Giannis Sfairopoulos said following the match.
