Panathinaikos officially presented all of its recent signings for the new season with a big gala on Thursday, with coach Argyris Pedoulakis and President Manos Papadopoulos present.

Jimmer Fredette and Rion Brown shared their excitement for the new season, how much they value their chance to play for Panathinaikos, and more.

“I’m grateful for the chance to be here. I may not speak Greek, but I understood what Manos Papadopoulos said about Panathinaikos and Athens. Panathinaikos is a symbol for Athens. I’m proud to represent the team. Everybody is crazy about it. We’ve worked hard and I can’t wait to start. I hope for a fun season”, commented Fredette.

Before the new season tips off, Panathinaikos plays the Pavlos Giannakopoulos tournament, in honor of the late great man of the Greens. “I know what it means about the president and about the team. We will play with the biggest energy. We wait for the rest of the guys to join and to play great games. We will play passionately. I know that everybody will be there and the arena will rock!”, he added.

Rion Brown talked about what drawn him to join the Greens, having already played against them in the Greek League the previous season. “For sure the fans and their passion. Everybody in the team has passion. I was watching the EuroLeague games on TV and the crowd was always 100% there and you can’t ask any more than that. I played in the finals against them, I saw their passion and I knew I wanted to play there”.
