Real Madrid defeated Baskonia 72 – 66 to win the “Ciudad de Oviedo” preseason tournament. The “Blancos” made a 14-4 run in the last five minutes to get the victory.
Jaycee Carroll scored 23 points with 4/6 triples for Real Madrid while Jordan Mickey added 11. Tornike Shengelia, Miguel Gonzalez and Shavon Shields dropped 12 points apiece for Baskonia.
Both teams were missing such players as Rudy Fernandez, Sergio Llull (Real Madrid) or Luca Vildoza (Baskonia) that are currently in China for the FIBA World Cup.

In another preparation game between two Spanish clubs, Valencia beat Fuenlabrada 87 – 70. Vanja Marinkovic and Jordan Lloyd paced the “Taronja” to their third preseason win with 16 points apiece.
