Eurohoops decided on making two changes in front of the first double-round week this season

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

The double-round weeks in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague are always tricky, for players and coaches themselves as well as the fans ‘hunting’ for fantasy points.

With four rounds behind us, we search for the players who ‘fired up’ and are spending plenty of time on the floor with a significant role. Plus, their prices are still very low.

We picked Krunoslav Simon and Mateusz Ponitka instead of Niels Giffey and Georgios Printezis respectively.

Krunoslav Simon

Although it didn’t hurt having Giffey on the roster, Simon’s current form and low price are a very attractive offer.

Simon started the season slowly due to injury problems but he stepped up during the last two weeks. He spent as much as 32 minutes on the floor and logged 23 PIR in each game.

As long as Anadolu Efes coach Ergin Ataman doesn’t put Simon on load management, we expect a lot out of the Croatian veteran. Not to mention that he’s priced at only €0.97m.

Mateusz Ponitka

It’s a similar situation with Mateusz Ponitka as well. He needed some time to get it going but the 26 years old Polish forward banked 22 and 24 PIR in the last two EuroLeague games.

Ponitka’s price (€1.49m) is also lower than Printezis’ (€1.67m) who we replace this time around after he didn’t give us what we wished for and Olympiacos is facing the reigning champions in CSKA Moscow next.

Keeping the core together

We’ve had some great pick so far which can be seen in the team’s overall price value. DeShaun Thomas rose from €1.o8m to €1.76m while Landry Nnoko cost only €0.72m when we first got him and now jumped to €1.08m.

Our vice-captain in Greg Monroe also faired pretty well jumping from €1.08m to €1.76m while we will keep Nick Calathes as the captain.

Last but not least, we keep Facundo Campazzo expecting him to stop ‘laying low’ and put on a show as only he can.
