Maccabi Tel Aviv will be without its top performer in the game against Baskonia.

Maccabi Tel Aviv announced that forward Omri Casspi won’t follow the team in Spain for the EuroLeague Round 8 game against Baskonia Thursday (14/11) due to knee pains. American wing Sandy Cohen will be registered for the match.

Casspi has been the top performer for Maccabi this season so far, averaging 12. points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.3 steals for a team-high 18.3 PIR in 21:14 over six games in his first EuroLeague season since 2009. The “Yellows” have won five games in a row and are 5-2 in the standings.

Baskonia comes off an away loss to Olimpia Milano. The Basque team is 3-4.
