Shavon Shields suffered a right shoulder injury, KIROLBET Baskonia announced on Saturday. He got hurt on Thursday early in the EuroLeague Regular Season Round 8 home game versus Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv.
The 25-year-old American-Danish swingman is already ruled out for Sunday’s ACB Regular Season Round 9 home contest against Montakit Fuenlabrada. Pending further evaluation will determine a timetable for his recovery.
Shields averaged 7 points and 2.6 rebounds through his first seven EuroLeague appearances this season. As for his ACB outings, he posted 8.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per match.
