Olympiacos Piraeus captain Vassilis Spanoulis became EuroLeague’s all-time top scorer on Thursday (2/1) night. He passed Barcelona legend Juan Carlos Navarro who tipped his hat off to the Greek player.
“I’m very happy for you. It was an honor to be part of EuroLeague history and I’m really proud you beat me,” Navarro said after… joking about being “sad” that Spanoulis passed him in the all-time scoring leaders list.
Sarunas Jasikevicius, Sergio Rodriguez, Kyle Hines, Nick Calathes and other EuroLeague figures congratulated Spanoulis for his achievement, in a video compiled by Olympiacos.
