Nicolas Batum left Portland in a trade than send him to Charlotte Hornets in exchange for guard Gerald Henderson and forward Noah Vonleh. Batum’s contract, worth 11 m. US dollars, expires next summer and he will be a free agent.

As Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho said: “Nicolas Batum is a very talented player whose all-around game will help our team in a variety of ways. He is a quality defender and a solid outside shooter who brings versatility and playoff experience. We are excited to add him to our wing rotation.”

Both Henderson and Vonleh as expected to be waived by Portland, free agent LaMarcus Aldridge is also expected to leave the team and the Blazers will have to build a new team around Damian Lillard.
