As it was announced today the eight-time German football champion Borussia Dortmund and eight-time German Basketball Champion ALBA Berlin will start a form of cooperation between the two clubs.
This will include know how on merchandising, marketing and communication. “We have – during our numerous visits in Berlin – known each other well and there’s a mutual appreciation. We feel great sympathy for each other and we have sustainable and above all emotional ties to Berlin and Brandenburg”, said Hans-Joachim Watzke, Borussia Dortmund’s Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Axel Schweitzer from ALBA Berlin added: “The BVB and ALBA are strong, unique brands and stand for the same sporting and moral values: honest sport, passion, love of the game and Fair Play. We look forward to the partnership and we want to have many common activities”. It’s a more than interesting idea and Eurohoops will keep a close eye on that.
