The German center of Crvena Zvezda has alreasy started the process in order to became a Serb citizen, while the Israeli guard is on the exit door.
According to a report by Serbian newspaper “Blic” Maik Zirbes is expected to get a Serbian passport soon and that will mean an extra spot for a foreign player in the roster. However, Zvezda is expected to have not one, but three open foreigners spots.
Sofoklis Shortsanitis is about to be released by the team and also Gal Mekel is in danger. The team is expected to decided during November what they will do with him, as the return of Marcus Williams is a possible scenario. However Williams is banned from FIBA until the 1st of December due to marijuana use.
