We have seen anything in basketball, but what happened last noght in the game between CSKA Moscow and Brose Baskets Bamberg it was a first. With 1.44′ left on the clock and CSKA leading by four (76-72) the Serbian referee Milija Vojinovic fouled Nikos Zisis!
The ball was on the hands of the guests, the referee entered the court and he tripped Zisis who was dribbling. CSKA Moscow had the chance for a transiation basket, the game was practically over and if that had happened with an opponent – and not the ref – tripping the Greek guard, it would have been a classic flagrant foul!
