Ettore Messina is back as the coach of the Italian national team after his agreement with the federation for the next 1+1 years.
The 56-year-old Italian coach will lead the team to the pre-olympic tournament next July and to the Olympics in Rio if Italy will win one of the three lasr open spots for the tournament.
Messina was the head coach of the Italian national team for five years and left in 1997, after winning the silver medal in the Eurobasket. He will replace Simone Pianigiani who was in this position during the last six years.
