Bilbao qualified last night in Eurocup’s Last32, but one of the main subjects of discussion in the press conference after the win over Oldenburg (73-68) was Shawn James and Olympiacos.
Coach Sito Alonso admitted that: “The interest of Olympiacos for James is more than just a rumor. That’s why he was so nervous”. James finished the game with 2 points and 5 turnovers in 11 minutes of action.
Even though nothing is yet decided, Bilbao seems ready to part ways with the player. As Alonso said: “We have a plan B and we will be ready to sign an other player, if we need to”.
