Pau Gasol made history in the match between the Chicago Bulls and the Charlotte Hornets. The 35-year-old Spaniard made his 1000th appearance in the NBA, an accomplishment that only Tony Parker (1028), Vlade Divac (1134), Detlef Schrempf (1136) and Dirk Nowitzki (1284) have surpassed, regarding the European players.
On the occasion of this achievement, the Bulls‘ center created a competition on twitter, asking from all his followers to send him a video with the favourite play of the ones Gasol have made.
One of the people that send a video to the Spaniard was Dirk Nowitzki! The legendary German congratulated his friend in his own, humorous way, choosing a play, which is not so flattering for Gasol, however that was Dirk’s purpose from the beginning.

Of course, Gasol enjoyed Nowitzki’s joke, while at the same time the German center let him know he was expecting his prize as the winner of the competition!
