With Nando De Colo (28 points, seven assists) and Milos Teodosic (23 points, seven assists) being unstoppable, CSKA Moscow destroyed Real Madrid 95-81 in Euroleague’s game of the week. This was the first win for the Russians in group F (1-1), whereas the Spaniards suffered their first defeat (1-1).

For the winners, Kyle Hines made a decent performance as well (14 points, 7/7 from the field), with Andrea Vorontsevich adding 11. On the other hand, K.C Rivers was tremendous for the losing squad, with 23 points on 9 for 12 shooting, as Gustavo Ayon and Luka Doncic scored 14 and 12 points, respectively.

In the beginning, Real Madrid made a better start to the game and earned a slight advantage (8-13, 12-18). However, the hosts came back, played better on both ends of the floor and ended the first quarter in a 10-2 run (22-20). Later, no team could take complete control of the game (25-22, 31-28), but the hosts made an 11-5 run to extend their lead to nine points (42-33). The visitors, though, responded immediately. Doncic hit consecutive three-pointers and the “Whites” cut the deficit to just one point (42-41), behind an 8-0 run of their own. However, the “Bear” fought back and closed the first half in front by nine (50-41).

In the second half, CSKA was easily retaining a double-digit advantage (54-44, 60-50, 64-53), as the “Whites” were playing mediocre defensively. However, the visitors were down by seven (71-64), after 30 minutes in the game. In the last quarter, Doncic cut the deficit to five points (75-70), but Dimitris Itoudis’ players immediately made a 10-0 run to bring the lead back to double digits (85-70). The Spaniards were unable to make a big come-back and, consequently, the Russians claimed a big home victory in Euroleague’s game of the week.
