Another record for the Slovenian youngster… who often performs like a veteran

There is no doubt that 16 year old Luka Doncic is something more than a super-prospect. In the game between Manresa and Real Madrid (70 – 102), the young Slovenian proved it once again.

Already an established player, as he has shown time and again during the season, Doncic finished the match with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. And no, he didn’t produce these numbers in “garbage time”, in case you wondered, since he already had 10 points at halftime.

Admit it that your eye got fixed on the “9 rebounds” stat. You are right to do so. Because Doncic became the youngest player in the history of the Spanish Championship to grab 9, or more rebounds, surpassing Santi Abad and Kristaps Porzingis. These two players, however played as power forwards. Do not forget that Doncic is a point guard. Quite remarkable.

Apart from this achievement, the young Madridista’s 12 points he scored and 19 he gathered in the evaluation system are the second best in his career.
