With Euroleague top 16’s sixth round taking place this week, everything is still on the line. More specifically, in group E, only Fenerbahce is still undefeated (5-0), as three teams have a 3-2 record and the remaining three a 2-3 (record), respectively.

At the same time, Khimki is still first in group F (4-1), which is probably the toughest group in Euroleague’s history, with the remaining seven squads being very close to each other.

The Turkish derby between Fenerbahce and Anadolu Efes stands out, however all matches are of utmost importance. Panathinaikos fights against Cedevita in Zagreb, while Darussafaka will try to claim their first victory in top 16, as they welcome Crvena Zvezda, with Brose Baskets returning home (after three straight games on the road) to face Barcelona.

CSKA Moscow travels to Kaunas to play against Zalgiris, as Malaga wants to prevail over Lokomotiv Kuban at home. Moreover, Real Madrid will once again play at home (for a fourth straight time) against Laboral Kutxa and Olympiacos welcomes Khimki, in a “do or die” match for the Reds.

Game of the week: Anadolu Efes vs Fenerbahce (February 5, 19:30 CET Time)

Anadolu Efes managed to beat Fenerbahce in the Turkish Basket League and wants to do the same again on Thursday night, when they welcome Zeljco Obradovic‘s team, which is the only undefeated club in the top 16 so far and has won its last seven straight games.

We are expecting a spectacular game, between two teams, which are very effective offensively, as the match is expected to be close until the end. In addition, the battle between two great coaches, namely Zeljco Obradovic and Dusan Ivkovic, will certainly steal the spotlight.
