Augustin Rubit (24 p) and Per Gunther (19 p., 6/7 3p.) led Ulm to the break in the first semifinal of the German BBL against Fraport Skyliners with an 90-86 overtime win.
The guests entered the last minute with a 87-81 advantage, Fraport managed to get within two points (87-85), but Rubit with 2/2 free throws (89-85) sealed the outcome. Jordan Theodore with 22 points was the best of the hosts, even if he missed a crucial free throw which could have cut the lead of Ulm to one point (87-86). Philip Scrubb added 14 points.
Da’Sean Butler added also 18 crucial points for the winners, making 5 out of 10 three pointers.
