After a disappointing year in which the team was eliminated from the first round of Eurocup and failed to make the playoffs in Turkey, Besiktas began making the needed plans to present a much more powerful squad in the next season. And what will the club’s first move is going to be?
To hire Ufuk Sarica as the team’s new head coach! According to Eurohoops’ sources, Sarica will leave Pinar Karsiyaka and the next station of his career will be in Besiktas. An agreement has already been reached between the club and the Turkish coach and they are both quite ambitious to build a strong Besiktas for the upcoming season. Some minor details are being arranged between the two sides in order to finalize their deal.
The club will also undergone some significant changes in its management and its budget for next year will most likely be increased. The latter is one of Ufuk Sarica’s wishes, since he wants to be able to create the best possible Besiktas team that he has in his mind.
