Without spending much energy on the fourth quarter, CSKA Moscow easily beat Unics Kazan 84 – 76 to make the 1-0 in the VTB League Finals. In a manner perhaps easier than what the final score shows.

And that is because the hosts never faced any actual problems against their opponents, during the second half. After returning from the locker rooms with the score 46 – 41, CSKA proceeded to build up a double-digit lead which was expanded to 18 points, 71 – 53, near the end of the third period.

It was a difference kept the Euroleague champions safe during a 5-minute blackcout in the beginning final quarter, which Unics Kazan failed to take advantage of.

The “Splash bros” of CSKA Moscow were once again rocking: Milos Teodosic registered a double-double of 16 points and 10 assists, while Nando De Colo had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

Naturally, Milos was full of magic again…

Unics Kazan was led by Keith Langford (16 points, 6 rebounds) and Anton Ponkrashov (14 points, 4 assists).
