With captain Alessandro Gentile (23 points) putting his signature in his team’s brilliant offensive script, Olimpia Milano beat Reggio Emilia 94 – 73 to double its victories in the Italian finals, making the most of its home court advantage.

It was a game that was close only in the first quarter. Or to put it simply, as long as Amedeo Della Valle (20 points) kept his team’s head above the water. Once Milano established a lead in the second period with an 8-0 run that made the score 31 – 24, it never looked back and never lost control of the match.

Things became even more easier in the last 10 minutes, when the hosts further increased their difference to reach an easy win near the end.

As mentioned above Gentile, didn’t only lead his team in scoring but was quite economical in his shooting (9/10 from the field). Rakim Sanders (19 points) and Oliver Lafayette (12 points, 6 assists) were quite the trouble for their opponents as well.

Apart from Della Valle, Andrea De Nicolao (12 points, 5 rebounds) and Vladimir Veremeenko (11 points) were the only other Reggio Emilia players to score in double-digits.
