Strong defense on key players of Olimpia Milano, and a great performance by Darjus Lavrinovic (20 points) and Amedeo Della Valle (17 points) helped Reggio Emilia make the 2-1 in the series with a 81 – 72 victory.

The hosts recovered very quickly from an initial 9 – 17 with which their opponents took them by surprise, establishing a lead that reached double-digit numbers (43 – 33) at halftime. Milano fought back but all their efforts were successfully pushed back by Reggio Emilia.

When the players of coach Menetti made it a 19-point game, 75 – 56, at the mid of the last period, it was obvious that they wouldn’t lose that one. Rimantas Kaukenas (10 points) gave precious help to his teammates, particularly in the third quarter, while Achille Polonara “touched” the double-double (9 points, 10 rebounds).

Olimpia Milano failed to reach the winning standards of the previous two games, with the trio of Mantas Kalnietis (15 points), Krusoslav Simon (14 points) and Jamel McLean (13 points) standing out.
