Behind 17 points by Thomas Heurtel on 5 out of 6 threes, France got the easy 91-74 win over Japan. The quality gap between the two teams was once again evident and the big news concerning France remains that Strasbourg’s Rodrigue Beaubois for one more summer will not be able to help the team due to family issues.

Still with Heurtel being on top form, Tony Parker having 14 points and 7 assists and Nando De Colo contributing 10 points and 6 assists, the back court is not an issue for the French.

Joffrey Lauvergne added 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side, which dominated the second period (29-11) and never looked back. Makoto Hiejima scored 23 points for Japan, while former NBA player and team captain Yuta Tabuse had 4 points and 4 rebounds.
