Timofey Mozgov is ready for the next step in his career as he will join the Lakers from the upcoming season in a $64.000.000 deal.
As The Vertical reports, Los Angeles Lakers has agreed to terms with the player for a 4–year deal. The Russian center can officially sign when the NBA’s free-agency moratorium ends on July 7.
After David Blatt’s departure, Mozgov has lost his place in Cavaliers‘ roster, averaging 6.3 points and 4.4 rebounds in 17.4 minutes. The Lakers will invest in him, hoping to add some depth to their own roster. Still it was a part of the Cleveland championship team and also the Lakers had not even one center on their team. Mozgov is the first addition in the paint for next season.
