Five players of the Turkish national team scored in double digit numbers in the 84 – 76 victory against Philippines in Manila, in the last prep match for the two countries before the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Bobby Dixon (or Ali Muhammed, if you will) paced the winners with his 16 points, while Semih Erden (13 points, 6 rebounds) and Sinan Guler (13 points, 5 rebounds) had a solid game for their team on both ends of the court. By controlling the boards and playing strong defense, particularly in the second quarter, Turkey found a much needed offensive rhythm which led them to victory.

A great all-around performance (20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists) by Andray Blatche was not enough for Philippines. The hosts of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament will face France and New Zealand in the first stage while Turkey will play against Canada and Senegal.
