The contract of Boris Diaw had to be sacrificed in order for the Spurs to sign Pau Gasol and the French forward will continue his career with the Utah Jazz, alongside Rudy Gobert.
The 34 years old star who is currently playing in Manila with the French national team in the pre-Olympic qualifying tournament is one of the players with the highest basketball IQ ever and he will not have any problem fitting in anywhere. The Jazz will be his fifth NBA team after Atlanta, Phoenix, Charlotte and of course San Antonio and he has one year left in the contract he signed in the summer of 2014.
The Spurs got the right of Olivier Hanlan who played last season in Zalgiris Kaunas.
San Antonio has traded forward Boris Diaw to the Utah Jazz, league sources tell @TheVertical.
