Thomas Heurtel had 17 points, Nando De Colo added 13 and France got the semifinal win over Turkey. The “Bleus” will face Canada on the Sunday final of Manila’s pre-Olympic tournament and they are the favorites to get the last open ticket to Rio.

The French were leading for most of the game, despite a 13-4 start by Turkey. The players of coach Ataman got also a 21-20 lead at the start of the second quarter, but France with a 15-5 run got the advantage (35-26) and never lost it until the end.

Omer Asik with 19 points was the top scorer of the losing side, while Semih Erden and Bobby Dixon with 11 points each were the only other Turkish players who scored in double digits. For France, Jaufree Lauvergne added 11 points and Antoine Diot had 10 and some crucial shots down the stretch that kept the distance for Vincent Collet’s team.
