The end was not glorious but 36 years old Carlos Arroyo retired from the national team of Puerto Rico. After winning six gold medals in FIBA America tournaments with the team, the iconic player decided to call it a day.

Arroyo left crying the court of Kombank Arena in Belgrade. A few moments later coach Eddie Casiano confirmed the decision of Arroyo who won his first gold medal with Puerto Rico back in 2003 in the Centrobasket tournament of Mexico. The veteran guard is a free agent after finishing the season in Spain with Barcelona.

A few hours later, he confirmed his retirement via facebook.
