The new BSL season started with an upset for the defending champs Fenerbahce. Usak Sportif managed to get the big 71-70 win, while Ekpe Udoh made one of two free throws with one second left and failed to send the game to overtime.
The hosts had the game under control, led 40-33 at half time and kept an advantage until the end. Fenerbahce tied the score at 67 after a big three by Bogdan Bogdanovic who had in total 18 points, but after that missed an other big shot and the chance to steal the win.
Shaquielle McKissic had an amazing game for Usak with 30 points and 12 rebounds reminding the real Shaq and Darryl Monroe added 14 points. Jan Vesely with 12 points and Kostas Sloukas with 11 were the other two double digits scorers of Fenerbahce.
After the game Obradovic spoke about the wrong mentality of his team during this game.
