The long search of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation for Jonas Kazlauskas’ successor at the helm of the national team seems to have reached its end.
Federation president Arvydas Sabonis reached a final decision to appoint Dainius Adomaitis at the head coach position, as Lithuanian website 15Min.lt reports. Adomaitis was already a front-runner for the job, being a favorite among other candidates such as Rimas Kurtinaitis and Sarunas Jasikevicius.
42-year old Adomaitis is currently coaching Neptunas Klaipeda, which he led to the Eurocup Last 32 stage during the previous season. He is considered one of the best up and coming Lithuanian coaches.
