For 30 minutes everything was possible at Milan. In the end, Fenerbahce‘s law was enforced and the guests got the  79-70 road win against EA7 Emporio Armani Milano., the sixth for the Turks in the season.

The score of the last period was 19-7 for the guests who got 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists from Kostas Sloukas and 14 crucial points by Bobby Dixon. For the hosts, Rakim Sanders (17 p.) and Jamel McLean (15 p., 8 r.) started more than well, but in the end, nobody could change the course of the game.

The game started with Fenerbahce leading 44-37 at half time, but it was obvious that there was a long way to go. In the 25th minute the score was tied at 53 after a three by Krunoslav Simon, but Dixon answered right away with an other three (56-53).

By playing smart in offense and controlling the boards, Milano got the 57-56 lead – just for the second time in the game –  thanks to a lay up by Alessandro Gentile and closed the third period with a five points advantage (63-58). The partial score in the third quarter ended up being 27-14 in favor of the Italians and Fenerbahce was in trouble.

The answer was defense. With a 7-0 run and five points by Sloukas, the guests got the lead again (65-63), but Gentile answered and tied the game at 65 with six minutes left. Still the quality of Fenerbahce was evident in the closing minutes as they managed to get a 75-67 lead and let Milano score just 4 points in the first nine minutes of the last period. The players of coach Obradovic had put out the fire of the hosts and a three by Ricky Hickman did not change much.
