The Montenegrin Basketball Federation has temporary suspended Buducnost Voli from all domestic competitions due to the team’s participation in Eurocup.
As reported on b92.net, the General Secretary of the Federation, Petar Popovic, stated: “We were called to decide on the case of Buducnost. Our decision will be legit only if FIBA applies the same penalties to all teams that take part in the Eurocup. If not, we will withdraw the suspension.”
This suspension comes shortly after FIBA made the first step towards ending the battle against Euroleague, by requesting a spot in the latter for the winner of the FIBA Basketball Champions League.
