Lietuvos Rytas registered its third victory in a row, by beating Bilbao 83 – 71 in Vilnius and making quite the step towards the Eurocup Top 16. Once again, David Logan was the guy that paced the Lithuanians’s game.

The American guard dropped 23 points (on 3/6 2-pointers,  4/7 from downtown) and dished 6 assists keeping his team’s offense fluent. Arturas Gudaitis registered a double-double of 11 points and 16 (!) rebounds while Corey Fisher added 15 points.

Bilbao got off to a horrid start in the match, falling behind 21 – 9 at the end of the first quarter. Even though it cut that deficit a bit at halftime (42 – 35), Rytas made sure to remain in control, at first, and then expanding its lead until it reached a 20-point mark, 75 – 55 in the mid of the fourth period. No turning back from that.

Scott Bamforth was the top scorer of the visiting team with 16 points while also dishing 5 assists. Micheal Eric added 13 points plus 7 rebounds in a match that didn’t turn things pretty for the Basques since they now stand at a 2- 4 record with two games left in the regular season.
