In one of the most thrilling games of the Eurocup season so far, Ratiopharm Ulm outplayed Lokomotiv Kuban in overtime to win 105 – 100, improving its record to 4-3 and “stealing” its opponents the chance to qualify in the Top 16.

In one of the most thrilling games of the Eurocup season so far, Ratiopharm Ulm outplayed Lokomotiv Kuban in overtime to win 105 – 100, improving its record to 4-3. Despite getting beaten, the team from Krasnodar managed to qualify in the Top 16.

Lokobasket entered the final stretch of the 40-minute period with a lead of 7, 78 – 85, yet the hosts draw closer and even got the lead, 91 – 88 with a 3-pointer by the fantastic Chris Babb (30 points, 5 rebounds), with two seconds led. Mardy Collins forced the overtime for his team by beating the buzzer from downtown but in the extra five minutes, his team fell behind early and never came back.

Collins was also the top performer of Loko with a spectacular all-around performance of 26 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Apart from Babb, Tim Olbrecht provided for Ulm with 20 points while Da’Sean Butler dropped 16 and grabbed 6 rebounds.

Matt Janning added 20 points for Lokomotiv and Kevin Jones 15.
