Not any serious changes at the top of the standings in the Spanish League after Week 13 since the favorites had their way, comfortably or not.

For Real Madrid (11-1), for example, things couldn’t have been easier against Obradoiro (4-8). With Sergio Llull coming back after his injury to drop 18 points, Carroll creating trouble for his oppoentns and the whole team having a rather… angry attitude, the “Blancos” overpowered their guests in style and keep looking at the rest of the teams from a high ground.

On the contrary, Barcelona had a rather difficult job vs Badalona (4-8) in the Catalan derby. Coach Bartzokas’ squad (9-3) needed some crucial last-minute action by Tyrese Rice and Sasa Vezenkov, be it via key free throws or clutch bucket making.

Defense extraordinaire by Valencia (9-3) forced a poor game out of Iberostar Tenerife (9-4) that shot an ugly 4/28 from downtown. The “Bats” took a victory that elevates it in the second place of the standings, tied with Barcelona. A result that drops Tenerife, the pleasant surprise of the championship, at the third position.
