Marc Gasol was voted among the West Conference reserve players ahead of the upcoming NBA All-Star game. This marks the third time that the international Spaniard is being named an All-Star.

The Memphis Grizzlies big guy is having a splendid season after recovering from an injury he suffered last February which stole him the chance to finish 2015/2016 on courts or join the Spanish national team in the Olympic Games.

Gasol averages 20.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game leading the Grizzlies to a 27 – 20 record. In the last game he dropped a 42 points career-high while his team beat the Toronto Raptors 101 – 99.

The Western Conference reserve team also includes DeMarcus Cousins (Sacramento Kings), Draymond Green (Golden State Warriors), Gordon Hayward (Utah Jazz), DeAndre Jordan (LA Clippers), Klay Thompson (Golden State Warriors) and Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder).

The Eastern Conference reserve team is compiled by Paul George (Indiana Pacers), Kevin Love (Cleveland Cavaliers), Kyle Lowry (Toronto Raptors), Paul Millsap (Atlanta Hawks), Isaiah Thomas (Boston Celtics), Kemba Walker (Charlotte Hornets) and John Wall (Washington Wizards).
