The position of coach Dusko Ivanovic on the bench of Panathinaikos is in danger and according to Eurohoops sources one of the candidates to replace him is Panagiotis Giannakis, a change that’s expected to happen soon.
The Greens are already in contact with the “Dragon”, who seems to be a more suitable coach than Ivanovic in order to build a team using the young Greek players of the roster. The legend of Greek basketball understand that the bench of Panathinaikos is a desirable position for everyone, even if during his tenure at Olympiacos the stance of the Greens against him was aggresive to say the least.
However since then a lot of water has passed under the bridge and the deal between the two sides is a scenario that can be a reality really soon. After all the possible coaching change has as a target to change the mood in the team before the playoffs in order to fight for the Greek league title.
