Point difference doesn’t mean much in terms of qualification in the Best-of-three series of the Basketball Champions League playoffs, but ERA Nymburk proved emphatically this week the winning mentality of the Czech club.
Back in the 2016-17 season, Dinamo Sassari had beaten Nymburk in the BCL playoffs by 22 points. However, this week Nymburk beat TEKSUT Bandirma also by 22 points and entered the records books as one of the seven teams which have won a game by 20 or more points in the playoffs, including the Final Four. While Nymburk had also beaten Dinamo back in the 2016-17 season playoffs by 21 points in the same series, the Czech team improved their own record by one point and became only the second team after Monaco that has done it twice.
