JDA Dijon announced that the club has added Jaron Johnson to the squad for the next season.

The 28-year-old American played for Elan Chalon in France this past season averaging 13.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 steals.

“First of all, I want to thank the Dijon club and the coach Legname for the opportunity they have given me to join this team, which has been very competitive for two years now. I am very happy to be able to discover a new city in Burgundy and I have the ambition to live a great season, in the French championship as well as in the European Cup with my new teammates. It is great recognition for my work,” Johnson said.

The Louisiana Tech alumni spent the first two seasons (2014-16) of his career with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the G League after which he had one-year stints with Perth Wildcats in Australia and with Ironi Nes Ziona in Israel.

He first came to France the following season, joining Levallois Metropolitans. Johnson also played in the NBA Summer League multiple times over the years with various teams (Rockets, Pacers, Clippers, Lakers).
