Pinar Karsiyaka re-upped Metecan Birsen with a two-year contract including an option for the season, the Turkish club announced on Wednesday.
Birsen, 25, moved to Karsiyaka last summer following a one-year stint with Anadolu Efes. He put up 9.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per BSL match, and 8.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per FIBA Europe Cup contest. Both competitions ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 2020-21 season will mark his team returning and himself debuting in the Basketball Champions League.
