Hapoel Jerusalem and Nikos Pappas have agreed on a short-term deal in order to help the team in the Basketball Champions League Final Eight which is one week away, as Eurohoops’ Aris Barkas reported and the club later announced.

Hapoel most likely added Pappas as a replacement for J’Covan Brown who will be out for the tournament due to a shoulder injury.

Pappas, 30, spent the past seven years with Panathinaikos, winning four Greek League titles along with five Greek Cups. He struggled with two ACL tear injuries in 2015 and 2019.

Over the ten games he played in EuroLeague this past season, Pappas averaged 4.4 points and 1.3 rebounds in 12 minutes.
