Peristeri retains its Basketball Champions League playoffs hopes for at least one more day

By Eurohoops Team/ info@eurohoops.net

Terran Petteway with Steven Gray on his way out inspired Peristeri to prevail, 81-74, over Rytas Vilnius at home Tuesday. The result automatically advances SIG Strasbourg to the next round of the Basketball Champions League.

Petteway was all over the place marking the Regular Season Gameday 10 contest with a game-high 25 points. Jaye Crockett produced 19 points.

The visitors jumped to an early 10-point lead but were quickly reduced to a catchup status in the Group E affair sending the losing side to elimination. Andrew Goudelock went for 23 points and Maurice Ndour scored 15 points.

The Greek club up 2-3 still needs SIG Strasbourg to defeat VEF Riga tomorrow and a win of their own against the Latvian outlet to clinch. Donaldas Kairys’ team fell to 1-4 and out of contention.
