After a strong season at Dolomiti Energia Trento, Luke Maye joins Baxi Manresa. He inked a two-year contract, the team announced Friday. Eurohoops had reported he was close to signing with the Spanish club.

Maye, 24, introduced himself to Europe last season averaging 11.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per appearance between the 7DAYS EuroCup and Italy’s LBA. He will be moving on to the Basketball Champions League and Spain’s ACB next season.

The 2017 NCAA champion with North Carolina joins a strong list of offseason newcomers featuring Vasa Pusica, Chima Moneke, Janis Berzins, Marcis Steinbergs, and Joe Thomasson. Experienced Rafa Martínez has re-signed for the upcoming season.

The Spanish side has been drawn in Group B of the upcoming BCL Regular Season alongside Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem, Pinar Karsiyaka, and Arged BM Slam Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski.
