Besiktas has announced the signing of guard Kenan Sipahi for the remainder of the season on Thursday. Sipahi returns to Turkey after spending part of the 2021-22 season with Casademont Zaragoza in Spain.

During his stint with Zaragoza, Sipahi averaged 2.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in limited time on the court.

Sipahi began his career with Tofas in 2010 and remained with the club until 2013, when he switched sides to join Fenerbahce Beko. He spent the 2015-16 season on loan to Karsiyaka and moved to Besiktas in 2016, where he remained until 2019.

In the same year, he moved outside of Turkey for the first time, after signing a deal with Real Betis for the 2019-20 season that came to an abrupt end. He returned to Turkey with Fenerbahce in 2020 and parted ways with the club this summer.

He is set to make his Basketball Champions League debut next week, when Besiktas faces EWE Baskets in a crucial game for Group H standings ahead of the Round of 16.
